My favorite blend is perennial rye, Kentucky blue, and pennlawn fescue. Sounds similar to yours. Years (many) ago when I first put in a lawn I used only perennial rye to get it started. Bill
John, I hear it's still surging. Clean the jets again and use a torch tip cleaner or small drill bit. Even enlarging a thousandth or two will work because it's way to lean.
hi there i changer it but still not right ,might take the spring off the other 316 , this one has only around 150 hrs on it so it should be ok . has a few other things that could be causing some of the problems also . it had old corn gas in it , the dip tube in the tank was gone , and the fuel filter is not filling up with gas , i haven't run it much seance i bought it , thanks for the tip . john
Great job, nice to have all the tools needed, happy customer equals repeat customer, thanks as always.

Ha I’ve needed to do this to our small lawn for a couple years and I still haven’t. Maybe this year is my year. Thanks John
Was doing the same thing and transplanting flowers little cool out but not bad. Have a Great Day.
Hey, you do what you gotta do. Just as long as you are happy with what you are doing.

The carburetor needs some adjustment.
👍
Need to change govener spring on that carb. When one gets weak it what causes the surging
The spring to govener is weak. Allowing it the move to free. Easy fix shorten will work for a while tell can get a new one

@@fricknjeep ya could be just because tanks mostly plugged the just getting bairly enough to run
Grass should thicken up now, just add water.
Sounds like you have a carburetor problem on the John Deere!
